Our first impression as we walked in was "Wow, they have really fixed this place up!". They have only been opened a month and they had five beers on tap on the day we were there, which was exactly the number of beers in their sampler flight so we did not have to make any decisions.
- Shut the Fook Up (Pale Ale) - this beer was a nice lightly hopped English Pale Ale. It was very tasty and would be well like by the folks that don't want all of the hops of an IPA that are all the rage these days. Myself I would love to try this beer as a cask conditioned, hand-drawn beer. Ray's Beer Rating - 3.0.
- My Bitter X (American IPA) - this beer was a nice well balanced American IPA. The Centennial and Citra hops really came through nicely in this beer. My Bitter X will be one of my standards for drinking at Belly Love. Ray's Beer Rating - 3.5.
- Eye of Jupiter (Oatmeal Stout) - this beer was a nice silky oatmeal stout. It was the favorite of the table and at least one growler of it went home for consumption later that evening. Ray's Beer Rating - 3.5.
- Auld Resolutions (Winter Spiced Ale) - this beer was a spiced brown ale that went well with the cold weather outdoors. Ray's Beer Rating - 3.0.
- 50 Shades of Gold (Belgian Golden Strong) - the beer was the highest ABV beer of the group, but it was nicely balanced and quite drinkable. Ray's Beer Rating - 3.0.
I really liked their logo so I had to get one of their tshirts, maybe this is what I will look like some day.
